Here’s an example of bringing in an exercising and fitness metaphor for this

practice. One identity is in training to cross the mountains with a thin atmosphere,

and they need to be able to keep their batteries charged for the equipment. So every

day they must run or walk, in order to build up enough energy in their own

bioelectric field to keep powered the life support, and equipment that powers their

force field. So as the subject moves outside, with every breath, they can feel waves

of energy and physical pleasure moving through them. They can reach out with their

awareness to feel the power of their movement charging the glowing energy field as

it loops around them. As they move they might focus on the pleasure of having that

energy moving through them. Any pain or stress, moves down and away from the

subject, as their pleasure encourages them to move their body onward. As they

focus on their pleasure centered in front of them, they can feel the less pure

sensations moving out behind them. When they get home they can edge themselves

in the mirror feeling the passion and energy charge up their body and mind. They

are contributing to a goal oriented story and the feedback of distance, speed, and

duration, can all be tracked variables that propels this adventure forward. This

tracking revisits the gamification suggestions I gave earlier. All this data creates an

opportunity for constant refinement and an opportunity for micromanagement,

should you wish it. When designing identities consider the tasks, history, and

interaction that can be layered into actions of service in this stage of the process.

Any books that you create should hold the stories you share together. Volumes of

trance geographies will be fil ed with the stories you might share, and the tales you

make together. I’d like to end this chapter by quoting a few Masters here.
